AP - Telefonica SA said Thursday it plans to buy back the public shares of its fast-growing mobile unit Telefonica Moviles for $4.2 billion, seeking to ensure full control of the business after a recent spate of acquisitions.
AFP - Greece's national telecommunications regulator EETT fined the country's three leading mobile telephone operators one million euros (1.2 million dollars) apiece for making identical hikes in their short message service (SMS) rates a year ago.
